Housed in a beautifully repurposed 1938 fire station, this nonprofit community art center hosts a rotating schedule of juried exhibitions, workshops, and events. SOBO is dedicated to making the arts accessible to everyone, showcasing the diverse and immense talent of Central Florida’s local artists.

Noreen Coup provides our walls with a unique depth and tactile beauty with her contemporary abstracts and landscapes. Enriched by her time in Paris, she masterfully blends oil and cold wax to build sculptural, glowing layers that shine with color harmony. Her texturally rich canvases exhibit the spirit of her global travels, from the historic charm of France to the sun-drenched Coachella Valley.

Lemus

German Lemus is a Honduran-born, Florida-raised creative force. His path in art hasn’t always been a straight line. Navigating linguistic barriers and sketching drill sergeants as a young soldier, there was clarity and freedom that he found within visual expression. Having the opportunity to mentor kids as an art tutor in the Soldiers to Scholars program allowed him to discover a passion for giving back to the community. Later in life, he studied multimedia design and visual arts in college, where he fell in love with Impressionism and began blending classical influences with the grit and rhythm of urban life.

Lemus’ art hangs on our 2nd floor.
